Owner of Joseph Legal Services, Emil H. Joseph III been practicing law since 2013. Since then, he has earned distinction as a leading attorney in the areas of child support, spousal support, parenting time, and custody.
An alum of Albion College (BA) and Michigan State University College of Law (JD), Emil most recently served for five-plus years as director of the Lapeer County Friend of the Court, administrating the staff and services of the Friend of Court. Before that, he worked for over eight years as a domestic relations referee, handling support, parenting time, and custody determinations.
As a domestic relations referee, Emil holds the recognition of being affirmed by the Michigan Court of Appeals, Siegler v. Siegler, Docket No. 345292, Mich App (2019).
As a former assistant prosecuting attorney with over four years criminal law experience, Emil has distinguished himself by successfully writing and orally arguing before the Michigan Court of Appeals, People v. Dakota Lee Turn, Docket No. 327910, Mich App (2016).
